Christina Caruso is a contemporary artist with a diverse background in both classical realism and abstract art. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she spent 4 years studying classical realism at an atelier there. She later relocated to Colorado in 2016. Caruso's work is characterized by the dynamic interplay between her observational skills acquired by the rigorous classical training she received and the expressive freedom of abstraction.

She primarily works in two distinct mediums, oil paints and charcoal. Her work often explores the rich depth of color and light showcasing a mastery of line, form, and dramatic value. Through these mediums, Caruso creates art that bridges the gap between the tangible world and emotional experience, offering viewers a unique perspective that is both technically accomplished and deeply personal.
